Alexa Chung Inspired Makeup and Outfit

Hello my friends! This week I decided to make a post dedicated to Alexa Chung and moreover her makeup and street style!

First up, the style! For this I went with a red and white striped top from Forever21, my favorite black skinnies from Forever21 and black oxfords. For accessories I went with a small gold geometric ring and an old Pulsar watch.

You can wear whatever striped shirt you want, but just make certain that it has horizontal stripes and has a boat neckline. For jeans, go for your favorite black skinny jeans. Finish your look off with your favorite flats or oxfords!☺

Now for the MAKEUP!

I started off by applying my L’Oreal BB cream all over my face. Then I went in with my Touche Eclat, Alexa has wonderful skin and usually just uses her Touche Eclat to brighten her complexion. Then I added some of my Rosy Outlook blush from M.A.C, and finished the skin off with a dust of powder.

Onto Alexa’s infamous eyes!

I started off by priming them and then began creating the first step to a wing.Image Simply draw a little line extending off of your LOWER LASHLINE so it curves upward. This will elongate and also open the eye to create a felinesque shape. After that, just color in the line however thick you would like!

Voila! You have mastered the gentle cat eye of Alexa Chung. In case you were wondering, I used my Alexa Chung for Eyeko liquid liner.

Alexa seems to usually have a slightly smokey effect on her lower lashline so to create that, I took Nutmeg from Maybelline and Woodwinked from M.A.C. to create soft smokey effect. MAKE SURE that you do not connect this to the wing. This will create a super elongated eye and narrow as well. If you leave negative space there, it will add dimension and a more mod effect.

We have the finished look, Voila!Image

I hope you enjoyed this look and have fun trying it out! It is a very natural look with very little coverage, so you could always add more if you wanted a heavier coverage. I kind of like that you can see imperfections though. No one is perfect!!

FYI: The mascara I used is also from the Alexa Chung for Eyeko collection! It is the best mascara I have EVER used!
