My Decision to Go Vegan

If you know me at all, you will know that I absolutely love animals. I can honestly say, my parents(and the majority of parents) had no idea where exactly our meat or dairy products come from. My parents have always been the type to let my siblings and I make our own informed decisions. I started looking into the vegan community about eight months ago, I thought to myself, “C’mon Mali, you could never do that. Don’t be ridiculous.” However, something clicked about a month and a half ago, I realized that I was choosing to ignore information that is readily available to us. I sat down and I watched Vegucated, Forks Over Knives, and last  but certainly not least, Earthlings. Earthlings made me cry, a lot. I believe that sometimes pain is the best teacher, emotional pain is pain. I realized what exactly goes on behind closed doors, and I wanted to do what I could to stop it. So, that’s why I decided to go vegan. The next day I watched James Wildman’s presentation of 101 Reasons to go Vegan, I was amazed. He was the final push I needed to really move forward into becoming dedicated to this lifestyle, and I cannot thank him enough.

I have found that in this month and a half so far, I have learned more about myself, how incredibly efficient our bodies can function, and how judgmental people can really be. I made this decision for the animals, the fact that I am healthier already is just a plus. I would like to keep this an upbeat post, so I will not say too much about other people and their opinions about my decision… Only this,

“Don’t judge a man by his opinions, but what his opinions have made of him.”
Georg Christoph Lichtenberg

I honestly have so many words to say, that I don’t know how to summarize them, so if anyone has any comments, questions, or concerns, then PLEASE comment them below, message me on Facebook or Instagram, or email me at

I hope that this was slightly informational, and not too much negative information to turn your stomach! I will link a few videos and articles below if you are interested in learning more about veganism and why I feel so AMAZING!!
