How To: Perfect Base

Hey guys! Today I really wanted to share my tips for a perfect complexion as a base for any look. I hope this helps you guys out if you struggle with face makeup at all!

Step 1:

I always prime with rose water and my favorite primer.

Step 2:

I like to apply my concealer before foundation for my problem areas. I know this is an unpopular method, but it works best for me.

Step 3:

I love applying a sheer layer of foundation over the top of my concealer. I use a shade a little bit darker than my actual color, it helps add some dimension to my face. I always bring foundation down my neck. Always.

Step 4:

If I feel like powdering, I will use Bella Pierre banana powder. I apply the tiniest bit using a huge fluffy brush. I like to keep it skinlike.

Step 5:

I like to add my contour, bronzer, and highlight. I take a cool toned brown and I use the slightest amount anywhere I want extra dimension. I add my bronzer, which is always going to be more of a warm brown, to my face and neck. I actually like a tiny bit of a sheen to my bronzers as well. To finish off the skin I always add a sprinkling of highlight. Just on the back of my cheekbone, browbone, nose, forehead, and Cupid’s bow.
Thank you guys so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed, and that this has helped you a bit. If you want to know when my next post is live, follow me! You can also follow me on Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat, @chatterboxmali.
